Are holiday homes actually a Danish invention? One could easily come to this assumption considering the enormous choice: More than 25,000 holiday apartments and houses in Jutland, on Seeland, Funen, Lolland, Falster or Bornholm provide pure holiday pleasure for everytime of the year. By the way no place in Denmark is further than 50 kilometres away from the sea!

No other country in Europe is renowned for a perfect holiday house like Denmark is. The southernmost Scandinavian country offers an array of different holiday apartments and houses along the coasts as well as on the islands. Both the North Sea and Baltic Sea provide the option of an eventful bathing vacation. Whilst the North Sea coastline of Jutland is characterized by long and wide beaches the Baltic Sea coastline is more fjord-like and contorted. Many small holiday complexes extend all the way to the water. The small and larger islands in the Baltic Sea (also referred to as the South Funen Archipelago) are extremely popular. Whether Fünen, Seeland, Langeland, Lolland, Møn, Ærø or Bornholm – everywhere you will be able to find enticing and suitable holiday houses for the entire family, group of friends or a romantic vacation for a couple. The North Sea islands Rømø and Fanø are equally impressive and allure with their extra wide sandy beaches. The country itself has a rich number of attractions and sights. Here of course the capital Copenhagen leads the way with its old harbour Nyhavn (strangely translates to „New Harbour “) and the Little Mermaid (Danish: lille havfrue). At the northern tip of Jutland Skagerrak where the North Sea and Baltic Sea flow together you can marvel the large shifting sand dune Råjbjerg Mill and at Billund Legoland offers fun for both young and old.
Norway and Sweden are not that far away by ferry or via the eight kilometre long Öresund Bridge so that a day trip is possible. The Öresund Bridge itself is a highlight which connects Denmark and Sweden. It is the longest bearer cable bridge in the world and spans with a four kilometre tunnel an entire strait between two countries.
