The Adriatic coastline between Trieste in the north and the Strait of Otranto just behind Ancona in the south is probably one of the nicest as well as most popular tourist destinations in Europe. In this region one can find wide sandy beaches, delightful countryside, lagoons and many famous towns of course including Venice.
