Enjoy a “hyggelig” holiday in the Danish dunes

“Hyggelig” is Danish and can best be translated with the English word “cosy” but it can mean much more. Something “hyggelig” is pleasant and good. This can also apply to nice people or the picturesque Danish landscape. Or to the Danish holiday houses of course.
The choice on atraveo with around 25,000 objects is almost unlimited. Denmark is quite rightly known to be the land of the holiday homes. Most properties are located in the dunes or right at the beach and the most have more top class facilities at reasonable prices. Quite often you will find sauna, whirlpool or even a heated swimming pool in your property so that the whole family can enjoy the holiday in summer as well as in winter: The kids splash in the pool whilst the parents can relax in the sauna and the whirlpool. This way also rainy days will not spoil your holiday mood. In the evenings a crackling fire in the fire place provides a comfy atmosphere and romantic hours for two or the whole family.
Also larger parties will find Denmark “hyggelig” as the houses are not only well-equipped but there is also an extensive offer of large holiday homes which offer space for 10, 12 or even 20 persons. Very often such houses have luxuriously fittings. If travelling with a large party such houses can be rented for a relatively good price as far as costs are shared between the fellow travellers.

    Supermarkt für das Nötigste ist vorhanden. Restaurants sind vorhanden, aber recht teuer- eben dänische Verhälnisse. Prima Surfgebiet. Sonst der geeignete Ort für Ruhesuchende- zumindest in der Nebensaison.

    Kommt darauf an, was man möchte. Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht, der ist hier richtig aufgehoben!!! Bäckerei und Einkaufsladen ist da, Restaurant auch. Das genügt. Wer mehr braucht, fährt die 14 Kilometer nach Hanstholm. Da gibt es alles andere.

    Klitmoeller ist kein Sensationsort!! Das sollte einem klar sein wenn er dort Urlaub macht. Ein kleiner Verträumter Ort mit kleinem Fischreihafen und kleiner gemütlicher Kneipe/Restaurant/Imbiss direkt am Hafen/Strand. Viel mehr gibt es dort auch nicht zu sehen... Ausgedehnte Spaziergänge am Strand sind so ziemlich alles was man so unternehmen kann. Und auch der Geldbeutel sollte gut gefüllt sein. Dänemark ist nicht billig, was einkaufen und Kneipenbesuche angeht. Die meisten Dänen sprechen gut deutsch und wenn nicht dann gut englisch. Und man kann sagen das ALLE Dänen ausgesprochen freundlich und auch hilfsbereit sind.
