    Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Souvenirshops, Geldautomaten, Freizeitaktivitäten, Hafen im Ort vorhanden. Ich empfehle den abendlichen Spaziergang zum Hafen mit seinen unzähligen günstigen und guten Restaurants.

    Die Ferienwohnung liegt etwas ausserhalb von Malinska. Dort selbst gibt es wenige spezielle Angebote. Es gibt zwei Restaurants und einen Einkaufsladen, alles gut zu Fuss zu erreichen. Das Meer (Felsen, betonierte Liegeflächen) ist nur ein paar hundert Meter entfernt und auch kleinere Kinder finden seichte Plätze im Wasser zum Spielen. Wenn man etwas Trubel braucht, kann man nach Malinska fahren, hat dort aber etwas Parkplatzprobleme. Besser ist es, einen schönen Spaziergang an der Küste entlang zu geniessen und ca. 20 Minuten zu Fuss in den Ort zu laufen. Dort gibt es den Flair eines kleinen Hafens, einige auch für Kinder geeignete Freizeitangebote am Meer, viele Restaurants, einige Verkaufsstände und flanierende Touristen am Abend. Wir wollten hauptsächlich Sonne und Meer, mal einen Besuch in der Pizzeria. Für uns war es genau richtig.

magnificent panoramic view of the sea, a fully functional kitchen, a bedroom (queen sized bed), a nice living room (with sofa convertible to a bed), and a bathroom. It is a very peaceful place with a SAT TV, DVD, Wireless (WiFi) Internet, air conditioning (included in price - no additional charge) and free parking.

We are located on top of a hill overlooking the town of Malinska and the bay. The apartment is located about 1 km from beaches in Malinska - a 15 minute walk. The island of Krk is connected to the mainland by a bridge. The Rijeka airport (RJK) is 13 km (10 minutes by car) away from the apartment. Lastly, our apartment is located along the main bus route that connects the island with the mainland.

Malinska is a picturesque tourist destination, which is located in an extensive wooded bay on the west of the Krk Island. There are numerous beaches and footpaths suitable for walks or bike rides. Malinska provides a varied selection of restaurants (many specializing in locally caught fish) and cafes. There are also a lot of leisure and sports activities, such as: mini-golf, tennis, waterskiing, jet skiing and paragliding. In and around Malinska there are many cafes, cocktail bars, night-clubs, and discos that often host live performances.

The landscape around Malinska Bay is filled with Mediterranean vegetation and beautiful walking trails. The most famous promenade is the Rajska cesta (Paradise Way), which runs for several kilometers along the beach. Because of its pleasant climate, mild winters and warm summers as well as clean sea, Malinska has been attracting many tourists for over 100 years.

Formerly known to mariners as a safe haven, Malinska is now a famous tourist place that fosters its fishing and maritime tradition. Malinska radiates with an attractive atmosphere in every season. The beautiful beaches in the vicinity of the town centre and the charming bays are suited for every taste. Malinska has a clear sea and beautiful natural areas for recreation, numerous sports facilities, original folklore and various cultural events. After you've had fun in Malinska, you will come to a good night’s rest and peace in your apartment.

Island Krk offers many outdoor activities such as scuba diving, donkey riding, sailing, windsurfing. Additionally, the island of Krk is home to multiple preserved medieval cities such as Omisalj, Krk, and Vrbnik built out of local white stones with museums and historic churches.

Island Krk, due to its central location and good road connections, can serve as a great base to explore many of Croatia’s most famous sights:

It is very convenient for those who coming by car because highway connect Europe with Rijeka ( big city on the mainland - also nice to see it, especially Opatijska rivijera and its "lungomare".) After that you have only 40 min to our place. Island Krk is connected with a bridge with mainland which makes easiest way of traveling. If you are coming by plane consider advantage of having the airport on the island.(13 km away from our place.)
Having vacation on Krk you have advantage to enjoy the sea and the virgin nature but in the same time you can choose cultural happenings and festivals in the cities near by. So whatever interest you have you will find it here. ( see text on the end - some tips what to see on island )
The property is in Malinska, small place with nice and clean sea, warm all the time because it is situated on the north of island , facing mainland and island Cres, so it is not on the open sea and it is always protected of the bad weather. Malinska has good service, lot of groceries, restaurants," konoba s" - typical Croatian places for eating local food, pizzerias, bakeries, shops with cakes and ice creams, old church, banks, post office, tourist offices, exchange offices, so you can feel comfortable. There are lot of organized tours by boat for getting around for one day trips. There are different types of beaches: from crowded one with all service and water playing you can imagine to the distant and wild beaches with virgin nature, cleanest sea and bluest sky that you can enjoy to be alone in the piece in the beautiful nature. They are out of the place but still you can reach them by walking or by bike.

Vrbnik - typical old Mediterranean city situated on the 48 meters high cliff. Vrbnik has always been a favorite venue for poets and artists, a romantic attraction due to its beautiful panorama on top of the hill. Vrbnik produces famous “Vrbnicka Zlahtina” wine.

Even the northeastern part of the island of Cres, you can see very well. There are the typical Mediterranean climate, similar to those on the mainland opposite to the places Lovran and Opatija. If one looks from the mainland, the island of Krk, one should not believe that this place is rich in plants and trees. The name comes Dubašnica the way of the Croatian name "Dub", which means oak tree off. The area around the village belonging to the church Sv. Vid to be called Sv. Miholjice, and it was dedicated to St. Michael. The current capital Malinska got its name in that it once was at this point, a source and a mill. With "Malin" is referred to in the Croatian language mill.

There are 3 swimming areas, a promenade along the coast called "Rajski put", and several facilities for tennis, mini golf, boccie, bowling, equestrian sports and water sports, such as diving, sailing and fishing. Like other tourist centers, Malinska offers excellent entertainment (cultural events, regattas and local festivals), and delicious food in the konobas (local restaurants) that serve home-grown vegetables, wine and recently caught fish or several fancy restaurants.
