    “Recommended for families with children, dog owners and all who want peace and quiet in a beautiful house in a beautiful, somewhat aloof, part of Provence!

    A wonderful house with 3 nice double-bed bedrooms (all en nice tiled shower / bathroom), large dining room and kitchen and a large living room - the whole house very high ceiling!
    - The best part is the outdoor kitchen / barbecue and large dining area under cover directly outside the kitchen! It oversees both the whirlpool and the large pool from the dining area, and there is a nice large paved terrace directly off the dining area and around the pool area.
    - Good with high fences, remote controlled gates and a large driveway with space for several cars, if you need to. Fine with outdoor lighting, etc. even if it could have been done better in some sections, eg at the gate.
    - Although dogs are allowed in the house and the plot, as well as the surrounding area is very good for dogs!
    - Well with well-functioning separate washroom adjacent to the kitchen (especially if you rent several weeks and have children), although both the washer and dryer were small, and drying lines are far away on the other side of the garden.

    The only thing we would have liked to change is that the rest of the garden is quite poorly managed, the grass is very bad and it all looks a bit untidy - except around the pool and on the front of the house where it is very nice. If lawn, plants outside / above the dining room and the rest of the back was just as nice cared / maintained as the pool area and the entrance side had the whole plot could be better utilized.

    The road up to the house is about 1km long and very narrow and steep, although there are separate unidirectional loops so you get no oncoming traffic. However a bit difficult / challenging to walk / jog around, as there are only narrow steep roads in both directions. No lighting after kl.20 it is pitch black. The last 200m to the house you drive down again, on a steep and even smaller gravel path that really is not in good condition. Difficulty with stroller / bike and not easy to drive on.

    The house is in total off above Montferrat. The approach is a bit adventurous and really not suitable for sports cars. If you have made it up there, the electric gate opens to (fully fenced) extensive grounds with a fountain in the courtyard.
    The house itself is spacious, the facilities as described and clean on a modern technical standard, and well maintained. The kitchen (with luxury fridge and extra wine refrigerator) offers the usual comfort. TV and DVD in every room perfectly functional.
    Highlight for summer holidays are the nice pool and the covered terrace with open fireplace (ideal for barbecues) and the lovely roof terrace on the upper bedroom with beautiful views of the village and the surrounding wooded hills.
    Who wants to spend a quiet, relaxing holiday in a really nice house and no action and a change needs around it, will find the recovery he seeks.
    For dog owners ideal, as the land is securely fenced. The - separately payable - cost of electricity and pool heating remain within the limits (we have for two weeks about 150, - Euro paid).
