This is how holiday rental owners described Badesi
show more its mild climate, Sardigna (as it is called by Sardinian people) can be explored during all the course of the year. In fact, beyond the beautiful sea, we can also discover the hinterland, organize trips or trekking on foot and by bike.
Badesi is a small town in the North of the island of Sardinia located on the side of a hill at around 135 metres above sea level and overlooking the Coghinas river valley. It has about 1,900 inhabitants and covers an area of 35.071 square kms.
It is 2 km from the longest beach on the North Coast, with fine sand lapped by the turquoise and emerald waters of a pure and limpid sea. A beautiful beach which snakes along the coast for 12 kilometres and which is an earthly paradise full of wide open spaces where you can walk or simply stretch out on sand as fine as icing sugar. Enjoy the beauty of nature; the blue of the sky, the warm vital and intense colours of the Mediterranean scrub that covers the coastline; the scent of the sea, the myrtles, lentisk trees, broom, holm oaks, and wild olive trees; the delights of a sunset when the last rays of sun cover the sea with golden reflections. The beach at Li junchi can be reached along a tree-lined road complete with cycle track and pedestrian path, and there is also a public shuttle bus service which allows everyone in the area to get to the beach without using their car.
A paradise for those who love the sea, fishing, (whether on the river, the sea, or lakeside), nature and water-sports like sailing, windsurf, and surfing, but there is more. This is the perfect place for long walks, rides on horseback or on mountain bikes.
Close by there are numerous small sandy coves and rocky bays, together with a hinterland filled with vegetation yet sparsely populated.
The properties on offer are houses that are part of the local community, or in condominiums with more than one family. They may also be independently sited within residential complexes, or located around the outskirts of the town, in the middle of the country with all the privacy that this implies but always within easy reach of the sea.
It is 2 km from its beach, the longest in the north coast. Fine sand and turquoise water, a sea ...
show more pure, intact and transparent. A wide beach that runs sinuously over 12 km. It 'like a paradise full of great spaces to walk or lie down gently strokes that seem made of flour to experience the splendor of nature, the blue sky, warm colors, and intense live along the Mediterranean coast; the scents of the sea, the myrtle, the mastic, juniper, cork, juniper, wild olive, and the suggestion of the sunset when the last rays of the sun adorn the sea of golden hues
A paradise for lovers of the sea, perhaps, the most lively and charming town of Gallura, with the possibility of romantic walks along the beach
show more where shops, bars, restaurants, and all you may need are at your disposal. Badesi is a wine-producing community and generally situated in a very fertile area.
Badesi shares it's most remarkable 10 miles long sandy beach with Valledoria. The beach is 3 miles avway from the house, with a good road - it takes you max. 10 min. to get there - if you don't want to use your own car, there are regular bus services. North of Isola Rossa the coastline becomes more the rocky type, with lots of small "private" bays, and everywhere wonderful clean water.
In and around Badesi you will find possibilities to practice water sports, especially wind surfing, and also paragliding, horse-riding, boat trips on the river, mountain biking; or you may also just relax and swim, or enjoy long walks along the famous dunes. The spa of Sta.Maria Coghinas /Casteldoria with hot springs in the river is at 3 miles.
Excursions into the near-by Gallura mountains will lead you in a completely different world altogether, where historical, very charming small towns can be found, as well as impressive landscape with enormous rocks scattered all over the place, pastures and cork oak woods.
The best way to reach Badesi is by plane to Alghero or Olbia. Ferries arrive in Porto Torres, Olbia and other ports in Northern Sardinia. You should hire a car for your holiday in Sardinia, the island offers so much to be seen!

Heavenly beach vacation on Sardinia
The most important criteria for holiday makers on Sardinia are sun, beach and recreation. Numerous beautiful natural beaches shape the 1,800 kilometre long coastline of Sardinia and the azure blue sea provides a heavenly backdrop. The most beautiful beaches include those of the Costa Smeralda in the province Olbia-Tempio towards the north east of the island. Between Palau and Olbia many small bays with white sandy beaches are hidden between long stretched granite rocks. Here the villages Porto Cervo und Porto Rotondo are regarded as Europe’s best holiday domiciles. As each year national and international celebrities gather here for their summer holiday it is clear that properties will come at a price. Considerably less pricy and equally attractive is the Costa Rei along the eastern coast of Sardinia. The small bays and the long sandy beaches of the coastal area north of Sant'Elmo guarantee relaxing sun baths as well as entertainment including a wide range of water sports. Costa Paradiso is situated in the north of Sardinia lies and the name says it all. Many small bays are hidden between the red cliffs.
Discover from a holiday home the area away from the beaches
Enough of sun bathing at the beach? Then you could go and discover the sights of Sardinia. For example you could visit the many picturesque towns and villages, such as the capital Cagliari in the south or Sassari on the north side of the island. Discover the natural sights of the enchanting landscape such as the countless limestone caves and grottos or the red rocks of Arbatax. Or visit the mysterious towers of the Nuraghen culture which lived on the island in pre-Christian times. Especially worth seeing is the Su Nuraxi complex in the province Medio Campidano. Also worthwhile is a trip to the rugged Gennargenta Mountains in the heartland of the island. The island’s highest peak is the 1,834 metre high Punta la Marmona and can even be reached by ski lift so that during appropriate weather conditions you can swap the beach with the snow. Generally the island is ideal for an active vacation with discoveries and excursions possible throughout the year. Away from the main streets there are various great hiking and mountain bike tours available. You are able to explore beautiful beaches which can only be reached via farm lanes and the additional benefit is the places are secluded providing a charming ambience. Also worth a visit is the neighbouring French island Corsica which is just 12 kilometres to the north. Ferries regularly operate from Santa Teresa Gallura to Bonifacio and from Palau to Porto-Vecchio.
