Vacation in a holiday home in Apulia

Apulia is located at the "high heel" of Italy's boot, and the region encompasses nearly 20 square kilometres. The scenic landscape is characterised by broad plains and rolling hills, being the least mountainous area of Italy. There are also a lot of underground watercourses which form large caves. This region is the perfect place for vacation in a holiday home. With many holiday apartments to choose from, all you need to do is book a room and rent a bike to enjoy this picturesque countryside.

Holiday houses from Bari to Lecce

If you like renting holiday homes at your travel destination, this region is full of charming and affordable offers. The most characteristic homes are the traditional trulli, circular houses built of stone, without use of mortar. Their conical roofs and white-washed walls make for a very unique landscape, especially in Alberobello and the surrounding countryside. Some trulli are in fact holiday homes available to rent. Another place where you can enjoy the best trulli is Locorotondo.

Not only holiday apartments

Although holiday houses in Apulia are some of the best holiday rentals one can find, this region has much more to offer. Apulia is Italy's largest producer of wine and olive oil, and you should definitely try some of the traditional food. Among the most original dishes are zuppa di cozze alla tarantino, a soup made just with mussels, or different kinds of pasta; for example, pasta e ceci served with chickpeas. Apulia is a relaxing region with clear waters and many beaches. You can enjoy the Mediterranean climate during Apulia's long summer, cycling through fishing villages and small towns, alone or with family and children. There are many festivals, fairs and historical celebrations in the region, and you'll always be able to find holiday rentals nearby.
