“The shopping is limited to the quiet mountain village of Cómpeta. You can also go to Nerja or Torrox. Competa is 20 minutes by car and has several shops. The best way is to get to the city center (CENTRO) and park your car in the free car park. If you are in a hurry, you can go directly to Emilio. This Supermercado has everything you need. Also the other minimizes are very well sorted. If you go up the path you get to the village square. There are cafes and restaurants. In our experience you can not be wrong with anything. It depends only on what one is. The Andalusian cuisine is very tasty.

The price level during our stay was about 20% below ours. The price difference was even higher for basic food. Water, fruit and bread are, for example, much cheaper than ours. Sightseeings: Apart from that, the cities of Granada, Ronda and Málaga are compulsory. If you want to visit the Alhambra you have to be there in the morning at 8 o'clock already and hope for a free contingent - or book at least 4 weeks before!”

“Competa is a beautiful white town, nice to walk through the narrow streets one day. With over 30 restaurants there is plenty of choice, as well as several supermarkets.

Walking in the area is lovely, the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama parque is very beautiful (although we found the road to Puerto Blanquillo with a regular passenger car just as exciting). It does have sea and beach views.

Coastal town of Nerja is also recommended, in half an hour you will find a nice village and lovely beaches.”

“Competa is a fjell village. It is good with shops for the most part. On Saturdays it is a market of torget that it can be bought fresh vegetables and fruit from local farmers. This is an experience if one is to make good food even with fresh ingredients. It is good with resturants, and some are better than others. The many walking tours is to recommend, then take some good shoes. Inquire at the tourist office. It takes about 30 min. car down to the beach and its tore mall ROŠKI. Competa can be recommended and the atmosphere is palpable. I have a holiday in Competa 2 multiplies, and it will not be the last time.”

Vamos a la playa! – Holiday at Spain’s coasts

Spain | From the northern border with France down to the border with Portugal the areas of the Spanish Mediterranean coast string together: Costa Brava, Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol are just the most famous ones. Why don’t you take a look at the atraveo offers along the Costa Dorada, Costa del Azahar, Costa Calida or Costa Tropical. The chances of finding the perfect holiday house are as good as it is on one of the two famous Spanish island groups, the Canary and Balearic Islands.

Spain offers everything you need for a great vacation at the seaside. Long beaches, kid’s playing at the beach under gloriously blue skies whilst the parents enjoy the time out from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy the tranquillity. A dip in the sea for cooling-off, an ice cream at the near-by kiosk or bathing in the sun on a comfy sun lounger.

Also the multi-faceted cultural life in Spain provides for entertainment. This does not only include the many interesting exhibitions and museums, such as the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao or the great museums in Valencia and Barcelona – but also party animals and night owls will get their money’s worth.
Beside the Canary and Balearic Islands atraveo customers favour especially the Costa Blanca and Costa Brava as well as the region of Andalusia in the south and the area around Valencia.
