At the orange blossom coast
Costa del Azahar | „Azahar“ translates to orange blossom and is the name giver for the coast north and south of Valencia. The citrus groves stretch back into the heartland of Costa del Azahar and within the Huerta of Valencia. Often this region is referred to as the „Fruit Garden of Spain“. Particularly during the blossoming period of spring and summer a lovely scent of fresh oranges and other fruits can be enjoyed across the entire area. Next to the delightful countryside vacationers will also be enticed by the wide and flat beaches as well as the countless attractions and recreational offers in this region. Water sport and wellness is a major feature in many coastal towns and several amusement and theme parks ensure lots of fun. Also very attractive are some historical town centres such as the labyrinth like old town of Peñíscola or the traditional fishing villages of Alcocebre and Oropesa. Valencia is always worth a visit with an array of good museums and harmonic differences between historical as well as modern architecture.
