An oasis of peace in noisy times

This beautiful hut was built with much dedication, taste and love for
detail in a small hut village many years ago. This alpine village is
very quiet because only a few of the huts are rented out. A retreat
surrounded by one of Carinthia’s most beautiful alpine pasture regions –
the Lieser and Malta Valley.

The great amount of natural timber, from bright to dark, makes this
hut a cosy abode. The interior is mainly made of spruce wood, floors and
stairs are made of lark wood. The homely living room is decorated with
an array of farm accessories. The kitchen is traditional and
down-to-earth. Heart of the hut is the traditional tiled stove with
typical green tiles and a cosy fireside bench. Here you can create a
homely atmosphere on cooler summer days.

The hut’s surroundings offer plenty of action in nature. Children can
build dams in the brook. If you don’t fancy cooking, the serviced
Fridolin Kordon Hut is only a 10-minute walk away.

A must is also a hiking tour into high-alpine terrain. It takes only 1
1/2 h to reach the summit cross of the Stubeck. The trail leads past a
picturesque alpine lake. The beautiful and famous Lake Millstatt is also
only 20 kilometres away. The Kölnbrein Dam is Austria’s highest dam
wall – an experience for everyone only 30 km away.

Living room with kitchen – wood-fired stove for cooking and heating -
with integrated oven and boiler for hot water, sink with running cold
and hot water, large seating area. Settee. Tiled stove.
Bathroom, sink with running cold and hot water (boiler heated via the wood-fired stove) and shower.
