Das ehemalige Kutscherhaus 'Der alte Kutscherhof' liegt am Rand von Rübeland, inmitten einer wunderschönen Wald- und Hügellandschaft. Das Kutscherhaus wurde um 1900 erbaut und so restauriert, dass alte Elemente wie Fachwerkwände erhalten geblieben sind. Der 2000 m² große Garten grenzt an einen idyllischen Fluss, der Bade- und Angelmöglichkeiten bietet. Außerdem befindet sich im Garten ein Bereich mit verschiedenen Spielgeräten. Eine Garage ist ebenfalls vorhanden.

Der Schlüsselsafe befindet sich neben der Haustür.

    “Unfortunately, we arrived much later than planned, because the road to the house was locked and we had no information about it. Only after repeated telephone calls with the owners in Holland we found a Schleichweg, which meant a detour of over 10 km by a Kalkbergwerk. The approach was quite adventurous, either through Kalkerk, or directly through the Bode, which passes right by the house.     “I would just like to thank Wichert and Dagmar for their very warm welcome at 'Der alte Kutscherhof'. We felt at home straight away!



    The property is well situated for walks and runs in lovely countryside with a large stream following the valley floor. The interior of the apartment has been renovated to a high standard and the beds are very comfortable.



    It is well placed for day trips to Wernigerode, Thale and other cultural towns in the Harz and for winter sports lovers, Braunlager is only 15 - 20min drive away. The 'Harz Schmalspur Bahnen' runs near by - we took the train from Drei Ahnen Hohne, well worth doing, the journey up to the Brocken was spectacular!



    The only down side was the lack of snow - but you can't have everything. However, the scenery of the Harz more than made up for it!



    The only reason I gave a 6 for cleaning was that the down stairs washing machine was out of use when we were there - as it turned out, I only had to do one quick hand wash, so it wasn't a real issue.



    Once again, thank you to Dagmar and her family for making us feel most welcome. We look forward to visiting again.”
