“Excellent holiday home in beautiful surroundings! Spacious enough for a family of 5, lots of privacy, large garden with fruit trees and herbs that you can pick.

Friendly welcome by the owner, with a number of tasty welcome gifts P

Many nice old towns in the area (you need a car of course), and you can swim in the lake, with a number of beaches within 10 minutes. driving distance, and on the island. Of course you can eat delicious food in Italy.

Beautiful view of the lake in the evening from the comfortable balcony. House is equipped with mosquito nets, so good to keep cool.

the only (minor) downsides it could have been a little bit cleaner (for example, floors were not cleaned wet, which you quickly see crawling children), and a dishwasher had been nice! There is also no wifi, but the 4g reception is fine (t-mobile), so that was no problem for us.” The customer review has been automatically translated from Dutch. Back to the original language

“Villa Miralago is a spacious house with a beautiful view of Isola Polvese in Lake Trasimeno. We were there the first two weeks of September. A holiday villa for those seeking tranquility, where you can spend hours enjoying the ever-changing panorama of morning mist, clouds, Monte Amiata on the horizon, beautiful sunsets behind the island and mysterious moonlight, making headlands canoes with giant fishermen look like from the balcony or large terrace . The villa has a steep access road and it requires some mate's skill to complete the entrance gate in one go, but the reward is fabulous. The house is equipped with all comforts, good mosquito nets against mosquitoes and other insects, and a relatively small kitchen where a handy amateur chef can relax. If you let the wind blow through the house well in the morning and keep the sun blinds closed during the day, the temperature in the house in the evening and at night is very pleasant. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds of good quality.

Miralago is not only a place of rest, but also a great base for trips through Eastern Tuscany and the Western part of Umbria in a radius of 60 to 70 kilometers. You don't have to drive much further. The road surface of many roads is not very good. Many necessary speed limits. The villages and towns around Lake Trasimeno should not be skipped. There are many beautiful things to see.

Hikers will not be in their element in the immediate vicinity. There are no good hiking maps available. Many small paths end with gates. There is, however, documentation about well-described circular walks. A car ride to the starting point is then required.

All in all, the house is highly recommended. The owner speaks not only Italian, but can manage very well in English. There are plenty of simple eateries in the immediate vicinity. Ristorante Montalcino is highly recommended, when entering San Feliciano, turn right immediately up the hill along a real strade bianche. Your car looks like a following car in the Tuscan cycling classic, but the view above over the lake and hills is great. The food is delicious.” The customer review has been automatically translated from Dutch. Back to the original language

“The arrival was fantastic. Although we had only received the street name and name of the house (without house number), the landlord had nevertheless applied a few signs with arrows to the house. Swallowing it was the last very steep slopes, but the reception was all the more wonderful. We were welcomed with open arms and in the fridge there was water, juice, wine, beer and sweets ready for us! Surprising, and super tasty! The cottage itself offered more than we expected a lot of space, cooling, a southern garden with olive trees, grape vines, wild cacti and much more. Despite the extremely high temperatures (24-37 degrees!) We could always find shade on all sides of the house. The beautiful terrace with a view of the lake became our permanent place for almost two weeks. Italy and coffee is always something special. For example, we did not find an ordinary coffee maker in the kitchen, but a small and a larger expresso cooker. We learned to use it and so we made tasty 'espresso' with it. We just missed a water pressure cooker, but have always solved that by boiling water on the gas stove. We visited a lot of cities, such as Citta della Peve, Tuoro, Orvieto, Assisi, Siena, Panicale etc ... We discovered several nice places on Lake Trasimeno where we could swim (free) in the lake. And we sailed by boat to Isola Polvese and made a very nice walk there. There too, lake swimming close to the ferry is a delight. Miralago, we miss you already, even though we have just returned home ...” The customer review has been automatically translated from Dutch. Back to the original language
