What a magnificent place! At the foot of the Montgó Mountains, 2 km away from the endless sandy beach and the lively atmospheric centre of Denia, lies this beautiful detached villa. The interior is comfortable and well taken care of with characteristic gates. Lovely cosy living room with seating around the fireplace and a bookcase with Dutch and English books for the bookworms among us. The half-open kitchen is equipped with all amenities and has its own bar.
Due to the fact that the house is situated slightly higher than the surrounding area, you have stunning views over Denia, the yacht harbour with the sea in the background from the lovely covered terrace. Around the villa is a spacious, well-kept garden with a lawn, flowery shrubs and trees and shady spots. You can enjoy yourself here in the kidney-shaped private swimming pool with partial fence.
The old chapel of San Juan is at the end of the street. The centre of Denia with its castle and museum, boulevard with shops, atmospheric restaurants and outdoor cafes is about 2 km away. Supermarket 1 km away. At the beach you can go diving, surfing, canoeing and water skiing. Nature lovers must not miss the Montgó Natural Park (1 km). The 27 hole La Sella golf course is 5 km away.
Denia is a popular place to stay during the winter, because the mediterranean climate makes sure there is a low level of precipitation and has pleasant temperatures.
Also during summer Denia is a popular destination. The sun is shining most of the season and the temperatures can raise up to 32 degrees.
Denia was designated by UNESCO in 2015 as the Creative City of Gastronomy. Our favorite restaurants are Mena in Las Rotas, Casa Frederico and Primera Linea. Booking in advance by telephone prevents disappointment. Denia has 20 kilometers of beaches. South of the city are the rocky beaches where snorkeling is good. A fun guided tour can be visited by canoe in the caves of Las Rotas. North of the city is a huge selection of sandy beaches. The beaches can be crowded in high season. Our preference is to visit the beaches in the morning; easier parking and wide choice for a nice spot along the surf. To do everything around the house and in Denia, the owner (since 1990) and family are happy to share their personal experiences.
