    “Brecon is an ideal base for exploring the Brecon Beacons. In about 15 minutes away by car in the National Park Centre, less than 30 minutes on one of the parking spaces as a starting point for mountain hikes. Several hiking trails (including the Taff Trail) directly from Brecon. Also along the canal you can walk, go by boat or hire a bicycle.
