    “Nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit (Supermarkt) und Tankstelle in Hvolsvöllur ( > 20 km).
    Seljalandsfoss als nächstgelegene Sehenswürdigkeit fast fußläufig erreichbar. Wasserfälle neben dem Seljalandsfoss unbedingt beachten, sehenswert! Wer sich traut und das richtige geländegängige Auto hat, kann von hier aus nach Thorsmörk fahren. Auch abhängig vom Wasserstand der Flussläufe. Es gibt aber einen Bus. Von dem Ferienort Fljótshlíð haben wir nichts bemerkt. Wr wollten aber "am Ende der Welt" Urlaub machen. Also für uns war es in Ordnung.”

    “Einen Ort gibt es eigentlich nicht. Eingekauft und auch Müll entsorgt wird in 17 Kilometern. Dort kann man auch tanken. Alle Ausrüstung muss mitgebracht werden. Für alle Highlights liegt das Haus aber super. Wir hatten nach dem östlichsten verfügbaren Haus gesucht, um nicht zu weit nach Höfn fahren zu müssen und hatten hier großes Glück. Diese Entfernung ist gut zu schaffen, wenn man nicht hetzen will (Fotografen brauchen halt in Island etwas länger).”
