    “Nimes is a nice medium sized city with flair. One can walk in the evening through the narrow streets, is looking for a small place to eat and afterwards somewhere enjoy a little drink. For larger purchases, you can go to a large Carrefour.
    In under an hour you can reach Marseille, Avignon, Montpellier and the sea - there cavort in the summer most likely a lot of French people (we were there in early September and it was pretty empty).     “A large supermarket is close by and also open on Sunday morning. Nimes has a market twice a week and on Thursday a big market with lots of music and food stalls. The house is just off the highway so places like Avignon and Montpellier are easily accessible. The Mediterranean sea is an hour away. Nimes itself is a nice town with beautiful Roman buildings, shops and terraces.
