    “Im Ort selbst waren wir in einem Einkaufsgebiet, wo es einen sehr großen Einkaufsmarkt mit Baumarkt gab. Dort konnte man alles finden, was man brauchte (u.a. auch Holz für den Kamin). Sehenswürdigkeiten haben wir uns direkt in Nordhausen keine angesehen. Dafür ist es nicht allzu weit zum Brocken, zum Kyffhäuser Denkmal und nach Wernigerode mit seinem hübschen Schloss und einem kleinen Wildtierpark. Für uns gab es - mit dem Auto - viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erreichen und daher war es perfekt gelegen. Gekocht haben wir fast immer selbst, daher können wir zu der örtlichen Gastronomie nichts sagen. Aber der Ort ist größer als man denkt und daher denke ich, dass für jeden Geschmack etwas zu finden sein wird. Daher wird es nicht unser letzter Besuch gewesen sein.”
