    “Die nahe gelegenen größeren Städte (südlich) Struer & Holstebro und die kleineren Dörfer (nördlich) wie Hurup sind alle nur mit dem Auto zu erreichen, aber bieten eine große Auswahl an Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Am Strand kann man in Richtung Oddesund-Brücke spazieren und die dortigen Überreste, der Bunker aus dem zweiten Weltkrieg erkunden. Wer sich für diese Sehenswürdigkeiten interessiert, kann sich auch auf den etwas längeren Weg (ca 1 h Fahrt) Richtung Nordsee nach Hanstholm aufmachen und dort das Bunkermuseum besuchen, das mit einer großen Freifläche auch noch Möglichkeiten für Spaziergänge bietet.Es gibt auch ein kleines Hügelgrab, das man besichtigen darf.

    Die Gegend um Oddesund bietet also durchaus vielfältige Beschäftigungsmöglichkeiten für Groß und Klein, aber für die meisten Unternehmungen ist ein Fahrzeug nötig.”
